Biography

Susan Silvernail is the Managing Partner of Marsh, Rickard & Bryan, P.C., in Birmingham, Alabama. In this role, she is very involved in the business side of the law practice.

She received her B.A. from Goucher College, in Baltimore, MD, and her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law in 1990, where she was a member of the Cumberland Law Review and Curia Honoris.

Experience

She is the author of "Electronic Evidence Discovery in the Computer Age," which appeared in the May 1997 issue of The Alabama Lawyer. Ms. Silvernail speaks frequently on topics related to technology and the practice of law. She also writes a column that appears regularly in the ALAJ Journal, called "Technology & The Trial Lawyer."

Susan uses her skills and experience as a former journalist and television producer to produce compelling visuals and video that help tell the stories of the firm's clients.

Susan is actively involved in the civic life of Birmingham. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation, which has as its mission the removal of barriers to a civil and just society for Alabama families and children, and continues to serve on ACJF's Justice Grant committee. She also currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Birmingham. She is the former Chair of the Board of Trustees of The Redmont School in the Waldorf Tradition (2004-2006).
